Post No. 60 Full Moon Over the Hudson

In what is seen, there should be just the seen;
In what is heard, there should be just the heard;
In what is sensed, there should be just the sensed;
In what is thought, there should be just the thought.

I wrote the following poem tonight and then found your picture to go with it. I wanted to post the photo with my poem but you've obviously protected it so instead i'm posting my poem with your photo! (btw I adore your work) Its called:

catharsis of a Graduate student in April...

exhausted dreams pack it in
sweetnesses pierced by realities
overhead shadowed galaxies expand
leave a few constellations in their wake

signaling the brevity of time
spring peepers usher summer
teasing want of carefree days
bare toes still shiver

from my riparian roost
full moon accosting Hudson valleys
a shimmering highway
obsolesces Tappan pragmatism

obscured by darkening masses
sprinkled banks recede
momentarily convinced it is May
i digress in poetry

~in honor of Dona's small group and in respect of communal hope and loss

Hope you enjoy it!
