Post No. 165 Monet and Manet

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC
I'm excited that I finally joined the Met, Friday! :)
Here, we have a photograph of two works of two well known French impressionist painters, Claude Monet and Edouard Manet. I'm no art historian, so I won't discuss the history of the impressionist movement. However, I think it's important to share knowledge, so I've added a wiki link for anyone who wants to educate themselves more on the subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impressionism

The Impressionist movement was my favorite! I used to write papers about it all the time in high school and college, until my professors caught on and told me to move on to a new topic! I didn't exactly, though, I only moved on to research the few female artists associated with the movement!

Monet and Manet next to each other - so cool.
