Post No. 75 Highland Park Diner

This is a photo of a famous neighborhood diner in my hometown of Rochester, NY. I've always wanted to photograph this diner, but unfortunately, I didn't have my tripod with me. This was shot handheld, in manual, at 400 iso, at f1.8 (I believe- can't remember exactly). I will photograph this diner at iso 200 and f8.0 when I have my tripod. I'm sure it will come out better. Any thoughts on this one? ~ peace sjf

You have a good start here. When you go back with a tripod try making several exposures. One like this, but also some lighter to better capture the glow oflight inside the diner. Do this locked on the tripod so you can later layer the images together in photoshop. Use the paintbrush tool to paint in the windows from the brighter layer. Also when you change the exposure,
Only change the shutter speed not the aperture.
If you change the aperture the images will not layer perfectly because changes in the aperture will slightly effect image size if only a few pixels.
Good Luck!

Very glossily night-shot.

PS.
You are living in Rochester? I am for many times there.
